Hamilton Health Sciences' Dietetic Internship Program
To become a Registered Dietitian in Canada requires 3 steps:
- Graduation from an accredited Undergraduate Program in Dietetics
- Successful completion of an accredited program of supervised practical experience (Dietetic Internship, Integrated Undergraduate program, or combined Masters/Practicum)
- Successful completion of the Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination (CDRE).
The Hamilton Health Sciences' Dietetic Internship Program
The Dietetic Internship program at Hamilton Health Sciences is a comprehensive program designed to provide hands-on professional educational experiences which encourages critical thinking and a problem-solving approach and which supports the development of professional judgment.
This dietetic education program is an accredited program recognized by the Partnership for Dietetic Education and Practice (PDEP) and prepares students for eligibility for registration with provincial dietetics regulatory bodies.
Hamilton Health Sciences accepts 12 Dietetic Interns.
Applicants to this program must apply through the Dietitians of Canada website.
